Spot UV Business CardsBy far one of the most effective business card finishes, the Spot UV finishing technique allows a custom shape of gloss finish to be applied to the business card, with the rest of the card remaining matte. This customer opted to have their logo covering half of the front of the card in a Spot UV - there was no printed ink, but the Spot UV still meant that the logo could be seen on the right as a gloss finish area, as demonstrated in the adjacent photos. They're perfect for drawing attention to certain aspects of the card, such as a logo or image and leave a lasting reminder with your customer of just how much pride you take in your business.

Soft-Touch Lamination Business CardsNot to be confused with matte lamination, the soft-touch lamination gives the business cards a really high quality feeling. After the lamination is applied, the cards have a velvet feel finish to them, meaning as soon as your customer has them in their hand, they're instantly hooked and wanting more from your business. We use these cards ourselves, and love the feeling of them, they don't compromise the classy finish of the matte lamination, whilst adding a little extra something to leave a lasting impression.

We have a wide range of alternative cardstocks on offer, meaning that anything you'd like to print on, we can. These cardstocks include, but are not limited to:

Matte Laminated Business CardsMatte lamination products, especially business cards, have been increasing in popularity over the past decade, well overtaking the traditional gloss finish business card. This could be down to how good they look! The matt lamination business cards ensure a silky smooth finish to the card, in contrast to slightly textured uncoated cardstock, whilst also enhancing certain colours - working especially well with gradients as demonstrated here! Although they don't have the feel of soft-touch lamination, they still look visually as great, with the matte lamination also providing additional protection to the print, meaning they are a strong favourite for those in messy industries.

Gloss Laminated Business CardsThe old classic - gloss lamination. A favourite for many businesses, which was a real hit during the early 2000s and still is to this day, is the gloss finish business card. These cards really make the colours more vibrant, so are ideal for designs which feature vibrant colours which are highly contrasting. Today, they can be utilised to gain a wide range of effects - they make thicker 450gsm cards feel like plastic cards - perfect for standing out in a cluttered wallet! The gloss lamination, like the matte, also adds extra protection, so is a strong favourite in businesses where it's going to get messy!

Uncoated Business CardsUncoated business cards are often seen as cheap and cheerful - and rightly so! They're the lowest cost option we have, but this doesn't mean that quality is substituted. Although the uncoated business cards don't have that added protection or little extra something that some other finishing techniques have, they're perfect for writing on! This means that if you're planning on offering your business cards out as loyalty cards, they can be stamped, signed or sticker bombed - whatever works best for you! As well as this, the print quality is just as high as our other finishing techniques, so your cards will still be top-notch.
Price: £ Impact: ★★ Ideal For: Writing on, stamping or sticker-bombing for a loyalty card. Also a low cost option for businesses on a budget. |
