In early 2019 we were approached to create the identity of the new Ashbourne Market, which would be renamed the gingerbread market to link to the heritage of the town, which was based around an industry of gingerbread making. The task was to give the market an artisan feel whilst being environmentally aware, which would draw in visitors to the market, making it the centre of the town again. This meant that the logo needed to appeal to all age groups and demographics. We came up with a logo design which steered away from the cliche of a gingerbread man or house, and focussed on the ginger plant. This linked the market back to it's roots and gave the market the environmentally aware link through it's branding.
