In early 2020 we were approached by Sura Royal Honey, a producer and retailer of premium Indonesian Royal Honey.Sura pride themselves on their premium honey, which is harvested using sustainable, traditional Indonesian harvesting techniques, to help minimise the impact on the environment and maximise the quality of the honey. We therefore decided that the brand needed an identity which showed off just how luxury this honey was, and needed to focus in on the earthly-feel of the business. The brand identity therefore needed to reflect the sustainability aims of the company, and also get across to consumers the level of quality that Sura strive to reach. The identity, which was well received by the client, featured a combination of serif typefaces featured with the icon of a bee, with an Indonesian temple as its tail, sitting on a traditional Indonesian lotus flower. As part of this project, we produced printed materials amongst a strong brand identity, this included premium paper shopping bags used throughout their pop up shops and permanent locations as well as aprons, to be worn by staff in their retail environments, workshop settings and in the production of the honey itself.
