In early 2020, we were approached by The Star at Cotton, a rural pub that was needing a makeover for when the new owners took over. The old identity was outdated and didn't portray the goals and aims of the business and wasn't generally very appealing. We therefore re-imagined the identity, keeping the traditional values of the country pub whilst propelling the identity into the new age, a key quality for rural pubs that need to draw customers in from afar. We played on the shape of the building in the choice of the typeface and the name for any imagery, making sure to keep the seven-pointed star which has been a symbol for the pub since the 1600s. As part of their new identity, we provided the pub with signage, flyers for their launch night and also business cards and loyalty cards which were all consistent with the brand identity that we had developed for the business and maintained consistency throughout the brand.
